HCPC plan increase to registrant fees by 18%

HCPC plans increase to registrant fees by 18%

At the HCPC’s Board meeting on Thursday 14th February a vote was carried to increase registrant fees by 18%.

The College of Podiatry, along with the other health unions, has opposed this increase from the start. This has not yet come into place and we must oppose it.

I strongly encourage you to contact your MP to sign up to the Early Day Motion 2069 so that this can be debated in Parliament. Currently 43 MPs from across the political spectrum have signed this Early Day Motion.

The College of Podiatry will continue to work with other health unions to oppose this outrageous increase at a time of austerity when our members are only just starting to see real pay increases after 7 years of frozen pay. The unions will continue to oppose these inflation-busting changes in discussions with government and the HCPC itself.
