The Manchester Branch is hosting the second Podiatry Now Live Roundtable discussion. The panel will be focusing on the subject of raising the profile of podiatry. A panel of leading private and NHS podiatrists will be joining branch members in exploring good practice and discussing what can be done to achieve this aim. We are also inviting you to log on live and be part of the discussion.

The Panelists

Martin Fox
Vascular Podiatrist, Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust

Martin works in a community-based NHS service in Manchester; focused on the early identification, diagnosis and best clinical management of people with peripheral arterial disease (PAD). Previous clinical posts have included NHS podiatry, a leprosy street clinic in Kolkata and high-risk foot teams. Martin has also worked on a professional executive committee for his NHS Trust, regionally in clinical effectiveness groups, nationally for Foot in Diabetes UK, the NICE Guideline Development Group for PAD and contributed to the All Party Parliamentary Reports on PAD.

Tony Gavin

Private Practitioner and Founder OSGO.

Tony graduated from the University of Huddersfield in 2008 after spending his early career years running an events management business. Upon graduation he opened Davenport House Clinic, a multi-disciplinary practice based in Stalybridge. In 2015 he founded Osgo, an organisation designed to help private podiatrists in all aspects of private practice.

Liz North
Director of External Affairs, The Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists & the College of Podiatry

A senior communications and campaigning professional, Liz has worked in the not-for-profit sector for almost 20 years, most recently as Director of Media and PR at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) and before that as Director of Communications and Campaigning at children and young people’s cancer charity CLIC Sargent.  Liz has also held senior communications roles at Macmillan Cancer Support and online youth charity YouthNet.

Jill Woods

Founder of Practice Momentum.

With a background in marketing PR, training & education, running her own practice and two digital businesses, a nomadic military life has lead Jill to putting all that experience together to deliver marketing coaching and training for  health professionals in practice, all virtually.
