College of Podiatry statement on University Industrial Action

Members of the University and College Union (UCU) who work in universities across the UK are engaged in Industrial Action.

There are currently two disputes. One relates to pensions and the other is about pay and working conditions. We note the action that the UCU is taking. We are conscious, however, that there is an effect on College of Podiatry members who are working or studying in affected universities. We hope that the following is of use to those members affected.

College of Podiatry members who are working

The College of Podiatry has a joint membership arrangement with the UCU for lecturers and tutors who are also Podiatrists. If you are covered by this agreement, then you have the right to take part in the Industrial Action. If you are not covered by the agreement and have questions about how the Industrial Action affects you, then please e-mail employmentsupport@cop.org.uk and we can assist.

Students

If you are a student affected by the dispute, please check the position of your university regarding your attendance during the Industrial Action. We hope that the Industrial Action is successful and settled shortly to enable you to continue your studies without disruption.
