College of Podiatry announce new partnership with Scholl

The College of Podiatry is teaming up with respected footcare brand Scholl for a new partnership that will raise awareness of foot health with the UK public, pharmacists and health professionals.

The campaign will inform the public about the importance of good foot health and when to see an HCPC registered podiatrist to diagnose and treat pain or problems.

The partnership will initially have four focusses:

  • College of Podiatry approved foot health information for the public signposting to podiatry as the first port of call for foot and lower-limb pain or problems on all non-product footcare health information on the Scholl website – with co-branding on this site and links through to the College site.
  • Gold sponsorship of the College of Podiatry Conference 2018 with a Scholl stand at conference and the launch of an exclusive member discount on Scholl products.
  • Sponsorship support for the College of Podiatry’s annual awareness campaign Foot Health Month, in 2019.
  • An awareness drive to inform and educate pharmacy staff about foot health and to raise awareness of podiatry and how to refer on to a podiatrist or other healthcare professional.

College of Podiatry CEO Steve Jamieson and Scholl's Professional Relations Manager Sarah Mainland

Steve Jamieson, Chief Executive Officer at the College of Podiatry, commented:

‘We are delighted to announce this groundbreaking new partnership with Scholl that will focus on raising awareness of foot health among the general public well as with health professionals and pharmacists.

‘It is vital that people have the information they need to make sound decisions about their foot health and care - and that people know where to go to when problems occur – that’s why this partnership will raise awareness of the role of the podiatrist as the first port of call for foot health care.’

‘This partnership will help us reach more people across the UK with high-quality health information and will benefit College of Podiatry members directly including with member-only discounts and support for our flagship Foot Health Month awareness campaign’.

Steve Jamieson will be talking more about our plans with Scholl during his opening speech at conference at 9.40am on Thursday 22 November.

Steve’s speech will also be streamed live on our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/collegeofpodiatryso if you are not attending conference you can still hear about our exciting plans for the College by logging in and watching Steve giving his speech as it happens.
