Call for Nominations to the Independent Practice Group 2019

Are you in private/independent practice and believe strongly in supporting your fellow members to survive and thrive in their business?

Are you interested in being part of a dedicated advisory group at the College of Podiatry which would feed into the development of support services and benefits for members working in private/independent practice?

If so, then being part of the Independent Practice Group could be for you!

This is a call for nominations from private/independent practitioners in Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales to fill corresponding seats on the new Independent Practice Group. There is 1 seat available for each country.

The overall purpose of the Group is to provide insight and feedback to help set the direction for developing support and benefits for members in private and independent practice.  The group will meet twice a year. the terms of reference can be read here.


Who Can Apply?

Any member who meets the following criteria may apply:

  • You work in the country you wish to represent 
  • You are a fully paid up member of the College of Podiatry 
  • You spend at least 50% of your time in Independent or Private Practice.

 


Self-nomination

Members may self-nominate, by sending an election address of not more than 500 words to maureen.jonas@cop.org.uk by 21 February 2019 which is the closing date for nominations 


How the election will run

If there is only one nomination per country, then the nominated person will be deemed elected.

If there is more than one nomination per country, then an election process will be held via Survey Monkey, which will open on 25 February 2019 and close on 25 March 2019.

Voting will be restricted to private/independent practitioners from the relevant country.
